It was...today.

It was stormy today.
I realize a typhoon was coming this way.
My daughter told me that her classes would be canceled tomorrow.
今日は、嵐だった。
台風が近づいているのを実感した。
娘によると、明日は学校が休校になるそうだ。

Today was the hottest day of the years.
It says on the news that Kumagaya recorded 40.9 degrees.
That makes me even more fed up.
今日は、今年いちばんの暑さだった。
熊谷では、40.9度を記録したとニュースで言っていた。
それを聞いて、さらにぐったりした。

It was payday today!
So I finally got a really cute jacket I had wanted.
I'm going to wear it on a date with my boyfriend tomorrow.
今日は給料日だった！
だから、ずっとほしかったかわいいジャケットを買った。
明日のデートにはそれを着て行こうっと。
